To qualify for unemployment benefits, you must meet certain conditions. According to Article 16 of the Unemployment Insurance Act (“Werkloosheidswet” or “WW”), an employee who has lost at least five hours or half of his working hours, and is otherwise available to perform work, is considered unemployed.
